Tournament Playing Information

GAME SCHEDULES:
Teams may play one, two, three, or four games on either Saturday or Sunday and the number of games played per day may differ. The tournament organisers try to find the best blend of football and leisure times for all clubs.
Some teams start and finish early while others play later in the day. Because of the odd number of teams in some sections a few teams will have on one day a bigger gap between their matches making a trip to Blackpool possible during the day.
Teams leaving the tournament site should inform the control centre. It is each team leader's responsibility to make sure his team is on site in time for his teams appointed kick off times.

AGES:
Over age players are not permitted. All players must be able to prove their date of birth if required to do so. make sure your team members can prove their ages. If they cannot substantiate their date of birth when asked, your team could be thrown out of the tournament.
Queries regarding over age players should be addressed to the Tournament Secretary, in writing, enclosing a non-returnable query fee of £10.00.

TEAMSHEETS:
One team sheet must be given to the referee by each team before each game. Only players' names and numbers as they appear on the registration form need be filled in. Substitutes should be indicated. Sufficient blank team lines will be given to each team on arrival.

KICK-OFF TIMES:
The schedule of play is very tight with little or no opportunity to make up for late kick-offs.
PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOUR TEAM IS AVAILABLE TO TAKE THE FIELD AT LEAST 5 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR APPOINTED KICK-OFF TIMES.
The Organising Committee will cut the length of games to ensure that timings are maintained.
Teams who are late for a kick-off may forfeit the game if an acceptable reason is not given to the Tournament Secretary BEFORE the kick-off time. In such a case, a score of 0-1 will be recorded.

Note: Teams must report each day at least 20 minutes before their first game to the Tournament Secretary. It is the team leader's responsibility to know when his games kick-off and to make sure his team is at the correct pitch at the correct time.

TROPHIES AND MEDALS:
In Categories under-19 to under-12, first and second placed trophies will be presented at each age level. These trophies are not returnable and become the property of the winning teams.

Medals will be presented to the players of the winners and runners up in each age group, up to a maximum of 16 medals per team.

At some age groups, a Challenge Cup will be presented to the winners of this competition. No runners-up trophies or medals will be awarded in the Challenge Cups.

A Fair Play Cup will be presented to one team from each age group. The winning team will be chosen by the tournament referees.

At Under-11 and Under-10 levels every player will receive a tournament medal to
signify that they have taken part. A Trophy will be presented to the winning team. Runner's up and Fair play trophies will not be presented.

REFEREES:
In the qualifying rounds and semi-finals only a referee will be appointed to every game. Club linesmen will be required for these games. Club linesmen should only signal for ball out of play.

In the finals, all games will have three officials.

Our referees are very important; without them, no games could take place. We hope, therefore, that all officials, players, and spectators will respect these officials.
Serious action will be taken, including expulsions from the tournament, against clubs who abuse tournament referees.

MATCH FOOTBALLS:
Size 5 footballs will be used in all age groups, except under-12 to under-10 where size 4's will be used.

The Tournament will provide match footballs.

All teams should bring their own practice footballs. It is each club's own responsibility to look after their footballs.
DO NOT LEAVE THEM LYING AROUND.

FIXTURES:
A full fixture list and kick-off times will be provided. It is the team's responsibility to know when their games will take place, and on which pitch. These fixtures are final.

In the case weather or other circumstances arise which make it impossible to complete the fixture list, an alternative shorter program may be substituted.

Make sure you are on time for your fixtures.
